I’ve always loved “La Vie En Rose,” in spite of my pitiable ability to converse in the language. Frankly, I got through 4 semesters of French at Tufts University on the basis of what I learned from a superb teacher in the eight grade. (Miss. Ivaska should have been teaching French at the college level.)
I was listening to Melissa Manchester sing “La Vie En Rose” on her CD “Tribute” and her beautiful rendition sparked a desire to revisit the English translation to recapture why it is I find the song so enthralling. I was not disappointed. Your translation gave me the answer in full. Thank you so much!

For the first time I heard Audrey Hepburn singing ” La vie en rose” in the movie “Sabrina”. and I fall in love with that song.
