Thank you very much! Wonderful job!!!. I love this song, and I’m studying it to perform it in a french musical contest here, in Brazil. I’d just like to comment one of those verses, in a possible different way: Ceux qu’ils avouent, couvrent et découvrent. I believe that such a statement means: those (words) that (my “silences”) confess, cover and uncover. Thank you once more.

I agree with the translation of “J’ai ton désir ancré à mes chevilles” as “I have your desire anchored to me.” Chevilles is a versatile word. There is a meaning in older French which could mean ankles but that seems a little out of place. It can also be used in poetry with really no meaning up to keep the line more balanced, at least metrically speaking. This would be like a love poem so I would go with this.

A beautiful Frenchman just sent me this song, all the translations made no sense to me, your translation has helped me understand what this beautiful man is saying to me, i am afraid… but the truth is i am falling for this man.
Thank you for your translation, and the explanations of the context of each word.
    THANK YOU
